Prescript - Our Giving Update I August 2018

Hello!

Welcome to Prescript's August Giving Update!

Prescript believes that every business has the power to change lives by giving back through its everyday activities. Every time we help a doctor with the next step in their career in regional Australia we also contribute towards medical coverage in rural Kenya.

I am so incredibly excited to share with you that as of today we have provided 278 days of a salary for a doctor working at the Community Health Centre in Odede.

Odede is located in a rural Western Kenya, where most people live in extreme poverty. Doctors help provide life-saving medical care every day for the village and the surrounding community.

Our BIG goal is to pay a doctor's salary for an entire year, plus assist with food, clean water and power at the health centre. This means that our August update (278 days!) takes us to over 9 months of a doctor’s salary paid for. And for that, I say, ‘thank you’!

Did you also know that through working with our hospitals, clinics and doctors in Australia, the following impacts have been created for the Odede community?

  • Given 115 nourishing meals to children with HIV
  • Provided 114 days of hospital maintenance
  • Given 22 days of access to life-saving clean water for patients

All this has been made possible by our membership of the Global Business Giving initiative B1G1. It means your choice to work with Prescript ensures something great happens in the world and saves lives as well.

Thank you so much for being part of the Prescript community. We’re privileged to work with you.

At Prescript we're known for helping solve the regional doctor shortage in Australia. Every day we're focused on two clear outcomes - Helping hospitals find doctors that create departments and clinics that run better, have more capacity and less stress. And placing doctors in jobs that leave them feeling highly valued, rewarded and, most importantly, enjoying what they do.
