GP Telehealth - Primary Care and Medical Cannabis Consults - Work From Home

Prescript is assisting an innovative telehealth service in its search for experienced General Practitioners to join their network to assist with Primary Care and Medical Cannabis assessments.

This exciting role provides a fantastic work-life balance - enabling you to work from home plus the flexibility and freedom to set your own schedule, all via a user-friendly online platform.

Ongoing, flexible work is available with an immediate start, with a competitive remuneration and benefits.

The Position

  • You will be conducting primary care consultations and approved medical cannabis assessments via phone and video consults.

  • Prescribe Schedule 4-8 medications, up to the doctor's discretion and experience - you advise the service on what you are comfortable prescribing.

  • Patients are encouraged to book follow-ups 6-8 weeks after initial consult to provide additional duty of care.

  • Work as much or as little as you want and get paid per patient, not by the hour.

  • Consults are private plus Medicare rebates when applicable.

  • Set your own schedules and list available timeslots on the platform for efficient appointment scheduling.

  • Administration team will process all scheduling and rebates on your behalf.

  • Doctors wishing to obtain Medical Cannabis credentials (approved prescriber) have access to a free 2-hour training course.

Who We’re Looking For

General Practitioners with or without AP credentials.

GP Fellows preferred, but non-fellows considered for private billings work.

Provider numbers required - Non-DPA location. (DPA restricted doctors can still obtain a provider number for locum up to 6 months.)

You must be an Australian resident/citizen, a New Zealand citizen, or a relevant work visa

You will need to have a working phone and stable internet connection.
