Locum Psychiatrist Roles - CAMHS / Adult Community - Newcastle & Lake Macquarie

The Position

Prescript has CAMHS and Adult Community roles in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie between September 2021 and February 2022. If you have any availability to assist, we’d absolutely love to hear from you.

★ CAMHS - Newcastle

★ Adult Community - Lake Macquarie

★ Receive a daily rate of $2,000

★ Dates between 08 Sep 2021 and 04 Feb 2022

★ 0830 - 1700

★ No weekend work, on-call or public holidays

Locum Dates & Details

CAMHS - Newcastle

This is a Monday to Friday role, working with another full-time consultant, 3 registrars and a supportive multidisciplinary team. This 12-bed unit provides specialist mental health care and treatment to children and young people presenting with acute mental health issues.

➞ Dates available between Monday 13 September and Friday 04 February 2022

➞ Week-blocks considered

Adult Community - Lake Macquarie

Part-time consultant role for 2 days per week working at the Lake Macquarie Community Mental Health Team, which is a well-established multidisciplinary team.

Working alongside other consultants and registrars in the team. You may be asked to assess newly referred patients, or alternatively, patients who are care coordinated by clinicians at the service.

➞ In-person: Every Monday & Tuesday from 01 Nov 2021 to 01 Feb 2022

OR This role can be performed via Telehealth - option to work Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays or Fridays. This can be done as whole-day or half-day sessions.

On occasion, you may be asked to work on the ward - the inpatient unit consists of 22 beds for patients with acute mental health issues.

Prescript’s credentialing team will help manage all the paperwork and logistics for these roles. All you have to do is let us know when you are free.

Australian citizen/permanent resident, a New Zealand citizen, or a relevant work visa
