Ongoing General Adult Psychiatrists – Part/Full-Time Telepsychiatry Opportunity

Medicare has recently reinstated bulk-billed regional and rural telepsychiatry loadings, allowing communities across Australia access to critical mental health services. There is now a huge demand for Consultant Psychiatrists to provide telehealth services for those in need.

Prescript is helping two of our telehealth clients find multiple Psychiatrists for General Adult consultations on an ongoing, part or full-time basis. If you are a Psychiatrist looking to maximise your earnings, working as little as 5 hours per week around your current commitments, whilst providing valuable services to Australian communities, we’d love to hear from you.

The Positions

Prescript is looking for up to 10 committed Psychiatrists who can offer 5 hours per week telepsychiatry services from the comfort of their home (or anywhere!). Appointments can be booked on an individual basis, after hours or over weekends, providing you with the flexibility to work around your full-time commitments, whilst making $371 per appointment or above.

There is a large backlog of patients waiting to be seen and appointments can be booked with very little notice. The majority of appointments will be 45-minute initial consultations, with time allocated for reporting and the opportunity to book follow-up appointments should they be necessary.

Working with a support team and excellent, easy-to-use software, the stress of managing your workload or processing Medicare billings is taken away from you. Referrals can be made to their in-house psychologists, GPs, or allied health.

If you have additional training or interest in ADHD, there is the opportunity to provide longer ADHD consultations with additional remuneration, up to $600 per appointment. Click here to find out more about the ADHD Psychiatry position. This is an excellent opportunity for Psychiatrists looking to increase their private practice contributions in a long-term and secure telepsychiatry role, positions will fill up fast so please get in touch as soon as possible to register your interest.

Doctors currently under moratorium are encouraged to apply.

We would really appreciate you passing this on to colleagues who might be interested if you are unavailable – please provide Max’s details and he will be in touch ASAP.
