ED Registrar – $160–$170/hr | Ongoing Locum Shifts from August 2025 | Regional Victoria

The Position

Role: ED Registrar
Pay: $160–$170 per hour
Roster: Shifts available across days, evenings and nights (0700–1700, 1400–2400, 2230–0830)
Medical Team: Day – 1 x SMO, 1 x Registrar, 1 x HMO; Night – 1 x Registrar, 1 x HMO, SMO on call
Emergency Department: 27 ED beds, 2 resuscitation bays, 2 procedure rooms, 2 isolation units, ~24,000 annual presentations

Location – Why Bairnsdale?

Bairnsdale is the gateway to East Gippsland, offering access to the Gippsland Lakes, Buchan Caves, and nearby wineries. Explore boating, fishing, or kayaking, hike through national parks, or simply relax in its friendly community with great cafes and country hospitality.
Getting There: 280km east of Melbourne – about a 3.5-hour drive via Princes Highway or V/Line train from Southern Cross Station.

The Position

You’ll join the radiology department at Gippsland’s regional specialist referral and trauma centre – a warm, well-resourced public hospital with an excellent reputation.

Reporting and procedures include:

  • General X-ray, Ultrasound, MRI, PET
  • CT including CT colonography and coronary angiography
  • Interventional radiology – angiography, arthrograms, biopsies, and spinal injections
Your lists will be matched to your skillset, making this an efficient and enjoyable locum experience.

Radiology Locums – Cairns, QLD – $3,500/Day

We’re partnering with a highly regarded, radiologist-owned imaging provider in tropical North Queensland to offer several locum blocks for experienced radiologists. You’ll join a collaborative and clinically focused team, either working alongside other radiologists or as the sole on-site specialist, supported by an experienced group of medical imaging technologists and admin staff.

The Position

This hospital-based position covers a mix of modalities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound, with procedural work available based on your skillset. Reporting volumes average 80–100 mixed cases per day, and sub-specialty opportunities are available (Cardiac CT, Virtual Colonography, MRI Prostate and Breast, PET). There is no on-call or after-hours component. Credentialling support is provided.

The Position

We’re recruiting experienced GPs (or FACEMs) to deliver Category 3–5 Urgent Care at three established sites:

  • Frankston and Prahran – supported by a nurse and receptionist
  • Sandringham – located within hospital grounds, patients referred directly from ED (solo site, no reception required)
  • One clinician per shift
  • Fast-paced, low-complexity presentations

Introduction

Are you a radiologist with experience in breast reporting and procedures?

We’re currently recruiting for flexible locum blocks at a well-supported private hospital in Launceston, Tasmania - offering $4,000/day and options from one week to several months. We’re also partnering with other health services across Australia with similar needs, so please reach out if you’re available in the months ahead.

The Position

We’re looking for radiologists who specialise in breast imaging or have strong breast reporting and procedural experience alongside general radiology.

You’ll be based in a modern, well-equipped private hospital in the heart of Launceston - known for its welcoming team, efficient systems, and excellent support. The scope includes mammography, FNA and biopsies, with a maximum of three procedures per day unless you choose to take on more.

This is a highly flexible role with the option to cover one or more week blocks - or commit to a longer-term placement of up to five months.

Dates Available

We have locum availability every week from late July 2025 through to early January 2026.

Pick the week or block of weeks that works for you – whether you’re after a short stint or a longer-term placement, we’ll tailor the arrangement around your availability. There’s no requirement to work public holidays (e.g. King’s Birthday on 6 October, Christmas and New Year weeks), and we’ll organise everything to make it as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

While all weeks are available, we have a special need for radiologists during the following priority periods:
