Locum Rural Generalists/Proceduralists – Broome, WA – $2200-2400 Per Day

The Position

Prescript is working with the Kimberley health service to fill critical GP positions in Broome over the upcoming summer months. These rural placements may be some of the most rewarding, clinically challenging, and unforgettable experiences of your career!

If you are a Fellow GP with advanced skills in emergency medicine, obstetrics or anaesthetics, please read on to see how best you can help.

★ Excellent daily locum rate (increased due to urgency)

Located in the heart of North West WA, Broome serves as a gateway to the West Kimberley and offers the perfect mixture of adventure and relaxation. Full of character and beauty, this outback pearling town has a startling contrast of brilliant turquoise waters and intensely coloured red earth. The two main areas are; Chinatown, which is located in the heart of Old Broome, and Cable Beach, which is home to fantastic resorts and restaurants.

Dates Available

There is an immediate requirement for locums over the next four months. If you cannot assist straight away, please get in touch with your availability as start dates will be flexible.

➞ 25th October for 3-4 months

➞ Multiple positions in ED, Anaesthetics & Obstetrics during this time

➞ Preference for locums who can fill the entire period – shorter blocks will be considered

➞ 5-6 shifts per week

➞ On-call approximately 1:3

The Benefits

➞ $2200 per day GP & Emergency Medicine

➞ $2400 per day GP & Anaesthetics or Obstetrics

★ Return travel from any Australian or NZ location, self-contained accommodation and access to fleet car

★ Travel within the region and experience the incredible scenery, interesting flora & fauna, and unique local adventures

*Whilst border restrictions are still in place:

★ $1000 per day self-isolation payment (for the duration)

★ Entire quarantine costs will be covered by the service 

(must be able to commit to longer blocks)

Who We’re Looking For

FRACGP or FACRRM with advanced skills in ED

+ JCAA/DRANZCOG for Proceduralists

Specialist AHPRA Registration

Indigenous Health experience desirable

Emergency CME completed in the last 3 years (either ALS2, ATLS, APLS, REST, PROMPT, EMST, EMET)

Ability to work in Emergency Departments, local clinics and community outreach settings when required

Evidence of full Covid-19 vaccination

You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen
