The Position

★ 12-month contract starting in August, with the possibility of extension

★ General RMO positions with a variety of rotations

Under the guidance of the hospital's experienced senior medical officers, you will be responsible for providing daily medical care to patients.

Please note:

⇒ You will complete four 12-13 week rotations throughout the year. The Canberra Hospital will work to offer preferenced rotations where they can from February 2024.

⇒ You will be expected to follow the roster pattern for each rotation.

⇒ Some rotations are in more rural locations, such as Bega and Goulburn in NSW.

  • $91,153-$122,359 AUD, plus 11.5% superannuation (Superannuation is Australia’s equivalent of a pension fund)

Geography and Climate:

Canberra is located in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), which is a landlocked territory within New South Wales (NSW). The city is situated in the southeastern part of Australia, about 280 km (175 miles) southwest of Sydney and 660 km (410 miles) northeast of Melbourne. The climate in Canberra has four distinct seasons. Summers are generally hot and dry, while winters can be cold and frosty with occasional snowfall in the nearby mountains.

Transportation:

My passions are spending time with friends and family, including my dog Ted, eating and drinking out, enjoying the Australian weather (when Melbourne allows), and sports – most of all football (or soccer, as I am often told).
