The Position

Sydney-based Psychiatrists, do you have two days per week availability to support a regional NSW community? Prescript is working with Bloomfield Hospital in Orange to help them find a locum VMO Psychiatrist for two consecutive days each week within their rehabilitation unit.

★ Return flights from Sydney to Orange are provided, along with accommodation, and vehicle allowance if driving

★ $252.75 per hour for specialists OR $269.15 for senior specialists

★ 10-hour days - 0800 to 1800 if working onsite, and 8 hour days if working remotely from Sydney due to restrictions or travel issues

★ The two consecutive days are negotiable - they do not necessarily need to be Wednesdays & Thursdays (although preferred). Public holidays are not worked or paid unless rostered on

Locum Dates & Details

CAMHS - Newcastle

This is a Monday to Friday role, working with another full-time consultant, 3 registrars and a supportive multidisciplinary team. This 12-bed unit provides specialist mental health care and treatment to children and young people presenting with acute mental health issues.

➞ Dates available between Monday 13 September and Friday 04 February 2022

➞ Week-blocks considered

Adult Community - Lake Macquarie

Part-time consultant role for 2 days per week working at the Lake Macquarie Community Mental Health Team, which is a well-established multidisciplinary team.

Working alongside other consultants and registrars in the team. You may be asked to assess newly referred patients, or alternatively, patients who are care coordinated by clinicians at the service.

➞ In-person: Every Monday & Tuesday from 01 Nov 2021 to 01 Feb 2022

OR This role can be performed via Telehealth - option to work Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays or Fridays. This can be done as whole-day or half-day sessions.

On occasion, you may be asked to work on the ward - the inpatient unit consists of 22 beds for patients with acute mental health issues.

Prescript’s credentialing team will help manage all the paperwork and logistics for these roles. All you have to do is let us know when you are free.
