Christmas Island Rural Generalist Locum Opportunity

Prescript Recruitment is excited to present a unique opportunity for a General Practitioner with Emergency Medicine skills or an ED Senior Medical Officer (SMO) to undertake a rewarding locum assignment on Christmas Island.

The Position

This role requires a dedicated medical professional with advanced skills in Emergency Medicine, ready to contribute to the healthcare needs of Christmas Island residents. Key responsibilities include participation in an on-call roster, providing emergency medical services, and collaborating with the medical team. The locum duration is from 21/05/2024 to 11/06/2024, with additional dates expected throughout 2024.

What We Require From You

✓ The health service is looking for a General Practitioner with advanced skills in Emergency Medicine or a Senior Medical Officer with at least seven years of experience in hospital ED.

✓ Specialist APHRA in General Practice or General AHPRA for ED SMO

✓ Australian permanent resident/citizen, New Zealand citizen, or relevant work visa holder

✓ WA Working with Children Check (can be completed before locum)

✓ ALS or equivalent certification

✓ Procedural sedation experience desirable but not essential
