Locum GP – Minor Injury & Illness Centre, Caboolture QLD

State-of-the-Art Urgent Care | No On-Call | $2,163 /day + Flights + Travel Support

At Prescript Recruitment, we place doctors in roles that matter — not just to communities, but to careers. This short-term opportunity in Caboolture, just 40 minutes north of Brisbane, offers a rare blend: a modern, urgent care facility, a collaborative team environment, and a flexible roster with no on-call. If you’re a GP with a hospital or urgent care background looking for meaningful work without leaving metro convenience behind — this is it.

The Position

You’ll be based at the brand-new Minor Injury & Illness Clinic within the Caboolture Satellite Health Centre, a purpose-built urgent care facility opened in August 2023. Patients present with non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses — including fractures, infections, and minor procedures — and are supported with onsite X-ray, ECG, plastering and wound care services.

The clinical environment is dynamic but low-acuity, designed to ease pressure on local emergency departments. You’ll work alongside experienced nurses, allied health staff and fellow GPs, with access to a wide range of integrated services on site — from mental health to oral health, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health, and more.

Shifts available across three flexible rosters:

  • AM: 07:30–18:00

  • MID: 10:00–20:30

  • PM: 12:30–23:00

  • No on-call. No overnight. Just focused clinical care in a well-supported setting.

Dates Available

Monday 2nd June to Monday 30th June 2025
(Speak to us if you'd prefer a shorter block — we’re happy to accommodate.)

Benefits Provided

  • Daily Rate: $2,163

  • Flights: Return economy airfare (from your home city to Brisbane)

  • Travel & Accommodation: Up to $150/day with receipts

    • Private vehicle use reimbursed at $0.85/km (capped at $150/day)

    • Hire car option available (fuel not included)

  • Free onsite parking and easy access to Caboolture Train Station

What We Require From You

  • AHPRA Specialist Registration in General Practice

  • FRACGP or FRACRRM

  • A calm, team-based approach to care in fast-paced urgent care environments

Why This Role Stands Out

This isn’t your typical GP clinic.

The Caboolture Satellite Health Centre is Queensland’s first satellite hospital, purpose-built to deliver urgent care, community services, and multidisciplinary support in one place. GPs here are part of something bigger — improving timely access to care while gaining experience in a cutting-edge clinical model.

Enjoy a modern facility, a truly collaborative culture, and a flexible, well-contained schedule that leaves your weekends open to explore the Sunshine Coast, Bribie Island, or the nearby Glass House Mountains.

Your Next Step

If you’re looking for short-term locum work that’s well-supported, well-paid, and aligned with your values, this role is perfectly placed. We’ll handle every detail — from logistics to onboarding — so you can focus on delivering great care.

Locum GP – Week On, Week Off in Coastal QLD | Low-Acuity ED + Flexible HITH Model

Looking for a locum that lets you contribute to meaningful, patient-centred care — without sacrificing lifestyle? This is it.

At Prescript Recruitment, we’re dedicated to placing doctors in roles where their skills are valued and their time well spent. This flexible, week-on/week-off opportunity at Bundaberg Hospital gives you a rare chance to be part of a service that’s reshaping how healthcare is delivered in regional Queensland.

The Position

You’ll join the Hospital in the Home (HITH) team — an established, forward-thinking service that provides acute hospital-level care to patients in their own homes or community settings. Patients remain under hospital care while receiving daily visits or remote follow-up from the clinical team, reducing the need for in-hospital stays and supporting better outcomes.

Your role is primarily based in the ED’s low-acuity clinic, managing minor procedures and urgent care-style presentations. It’s a blend of general practice and hospital medicine — with possible weekend oncall, and weekday hours (0830–1730).

The HITH model is part of Queensland Health’s broader commitment to delivering flexible, high-quality care outside traditional hospital walls. It suits GPs who want to stay sharp across a range of presentations while being part of a service that is clinically respected, patient-focused, and innovating for the future.

Dates Available

  • 30 June – 4 July 2025

  • 14 – 18 July 2025

  • 28 July – 1 August 2025

  • 11 – 15 August 2025

  • 25 – 29 August 2025

  • 8 – 12 September 2025

  • 22 – 29 September 2025

  • 6 – 10 October 2025

  • 20 – 24 October 2025

  • 3 – 7 November 2025

Benefits Provided

  • $1,950 per day – payroll with salary packaging or PTY Ltd invoicing available (paid weekly)

  • Travel covered – flights or mileage up to $1,000

  • Accommodation & car – up to $150/day (plus one travel day)

  • Car hire only – $60/day when accommodation is arranged separately

  • Prescript concierge support – we manage your credentialing, logistics and onboarding from start to finish

Why This Role Matters

This isn’t just a locum — it’s a step into a future-facing model of care that’s already delivering results. Bundaberg’s HITH program gives patients hospital-level care at home, freeing up hospital beds and empowering patient recovery in familiar settings. And it gives you, as a GP, the chance to practise across ED-adjacent urgent care with the support of an efficient, collaborative hospital team.

Bundaberg itself offers more than just sunshine — it’s a gateway to the Southern Great Barrier Reef with national parks, friendly locals, and an easy-going lifestyle that’s hard to beat.

What We’re Looking For

  • FRACGP (or equivalent)

  • General practice background with confidence in urgent care and minor procedures

  • AHPRA specialist registration

GP Locum – Primary Care with RFDS | Be Part of a Regional Health in Central NSW

When a community reclaims access to healthcare, it’s not just a service that’s restored — it’s trust, connection, and hope.

At Prescript Recruitment, we work side-by-side with doctors and health services to create these kinds of outcomes — and this is one of those moments. In partnership with The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) – Eastern Section, we’re proud to support the delivery of primary care to Condobolin, a charming town in Central West NSW, now home to a newly established RFDS practice.

  • No after-hours, no weekends

  • Best Practice Software in use
